ROCKVILLE, MD – February 3, 2017 – To assist companies in the energy sector to better navigate through a rapidly changing environment, EXCEL Services Corporation is unveiling an enhanced scope of services and staff, EXCEL President and CEO Donald Hoffman announced today. The company’s expanded capabilities include its new Critical Infrastructure Protection and Executive Performance Solutions lines of service which are staffed by some of the most seasoned executives in the industry and will be formally unveiled at The National Press Club later this month.
In making the announcement Hoffman said, “The unprecedented change generated by the new Administration represents real opportunity for the nuclear industry, but it also may pose challenges – its policies on climate change, fossil fuels and renewables, and emphasis on America First are already creating a new landscape for the entire energy industry and for nuclear energy particularly. We recognize that rapid change lies ahead, so we have created an enhanced scope of services and staff to help our clients, old and new, respond rapidly and successfully. Our new and expanded team of leading experts, with over 600 years of collective industry experience, will offer an absolutely unparalleled level and breadth of skill and service to help our clients address whatever challenges may lie ahead.”
Heading the company’s new Critical Infrastructure Protection line is Richard Rosano, formerly Chief of Nuclear Security at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Rosano will serve as Senior Vice President and will oversee a distinguished group of industry experts to establish the highest levels of service in critical infrastructure security including physical, cyber, and information security.
Mark Satorius, formerly Executive Director for Operations at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, joins EXCEL as the company’s new Senior Vice President, Executive Performance Solutions where he and his team will combine their unmatched knowledge and experience to create solutions for clients with critical and difficult regulatory and legal challenges. Thanks to that expertise, EXCEL is positioned, with unmatched depth and expertise, to offer the best regulatory support available anywhere.
As Senior Vice President, Business Development, Michael McMahon will oversee EXCEL’s sales, marketing, and business development activities, including customer relationship management, sales planning, order development, and customer satisfaction. McMahon has more than 25 years of professional engineering, leadership, project management, sales, and business development experience in the commercial nuclear industry and the nuclear navy, including 17 years at the global nuclear energy company AREVA. Most recently, he served as the President & CEO of Transnuclear, Inc. (now TN Americas), a division of AREVA Nuclear Materials, LLC and a leading global provider of
storage, transportation, and field services solutions for used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, where he helped to lead the company to record levels of growth and profitability.
EXCEL is ideally and uniquely positioned to help its clients prepare for the challenges faced in the rapidly evolving energy industry – an industry that has been confronted with a range of issues, including regulatory challenges, economic pressures, and the constant vigilance required to defend against man-made threats and natural hazards. With deeper expertise and broader reach into solutions for operating safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, EXCEL can now do even more to create sustained value for energy producers, and for any client responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, managing and mitigating risks, and strengthening all aspects of operational excellence in an increasingly demanding environment.
Concluded Hoffman, “EXCEL’s goal is to harness our world-class technical and regulatory expertise and our deep executive level management experience to create competitive advantages for our clients in a demanding marketplace by helping them to confront their most difficult challenges and turn them into opportunities. With our new team in place we can help anyone in the energy community solve problems, meet their goals, and succeed. It’s a new day for EXCEL and we look forward to officially welcoming in the new era at EXCEL at our National Press Club event later this month.”
